Please be sure to check out FF Close Calls for updates and details I may have missed. There are several stories on there that are must reads dealing with LODD and near misses!

Don't keep it a secret!

If anyone sees a LODD or other firefighter injury or death come across from TSL or anyplace else, please post it here so that we can make sure everyone knows about it and can remember and say a special prayer and words for those who are hurting. It is our goal to prevent these things from happening but to do so we must be well informed so we do not make the same mistakes and allow a H.R.E. (History Repeating Event) to happen again.

Take Care, Stay Safe and a Merry and Blessed Christmas to you and yours from Santa's Firefighters...Ho Ho Ho

I ask that you keep in your thoughts and prayers a member of a department next to mine. He is a 35 years old who had a seizure a month ago, is still in the hospital and having seizures on a regular basis. The have ran numerous tests and can't figure anything out yet. He owns his own business and has a wife and three young children.

Hi everyone,

Please list and share requests for helping our own in need and to place prayers or condolences for our Brothers and Sisters in the Fire Service and their immediate families. To list a request just start a new discussion and give your info there.

I created this group because I felt we needed a place dealing with these issues since this is our life. I wanted to do the right thing and make sure we covered more than just training. I felt we all need to sometimes have a little more training on our inner feelings that we sometimes tend to surpress and hold inside.
